"Stayed at Shangri-La for 3 nights for our honeymoon and received complementary champagne and fruit. We had a standard room overlooking the pool and river. The room had plenty of space and included a seating area. It was our first time in Bangkok and we thought the hotel location was great - right near the sky train, which is very helpful and convenient to all tourist destinations. Hands down, the buffett breakfast was fantastic! The staff was courteous, emaculately groomed and helpful. Overall, an excellent introduction to Bangkok. We were both very pleased. The food at Salathip Restaurant was very good and excellent value, considering the prices at other high-end hotels in Thailand. Enjoy!"
